Hi,
I'm David,
a software developer and bug hunter.
I'm currently completing my Master of Applied Computing, focusing on parallel programming and enterprise computing. During my internship as a Node.js Backend Developer, I designed and implemented REST APIs with asynchronous operations. I'm active in cybersecurity CTFs, focusing on web security, and exploring malware analysis in my spare time. I'm eager to grow as a developer and am open to new opportunities. Feel free to explore the about section if you would like to get a deeper insight into my background and expertise.

About
I first encountered computer science in the spring of 2016 through an Intro to Programming course using Python. Although I was initially pursuing a degree in Economics, my enthusiasm for the course led me to switch to an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, where my passion for the field was reflected in my academic success.
In the fall of 2017, I began working as a teaching assistant in labs with over 60 students, assisting them with debugging their programming exercises. We worked with Python, Java, C, and ARM Assembly, covering topics from data structures and algorithms to object-oriented design.
In the winter of 2019, I took an Internet Computing course that introduced me to HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, PHP, and MySQL. I was captivated by web development's potential to create immersive experiences through the internet, which solidified my decision to pursue it as a career.
From 2020 to 2023, I refined my web development skills through a Graduate Certificate in Computer Applications Development. This program deepened my understanding of responsive web design and introduced me to the MVC design pattern in ASP.NET. I also gained experience with technologies like Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and React Native. Beyond my studies, I contributed to open-source web applications using React.js and Angular.
I'm currently completing my final term for my Master of Applied Computing, focusing on parallel programming and enterprise computing. During my internship as a Node.js Backend Developer, I designed and implemented REST APIs with asynchronous operations. I'm actively engaged in cybersecurity CTFs and wargames, specializing in web application security, and am also exploring malware analysis in my spare time. I'm eager to continue growing as a developer and am open to new opportunities.
